Young Person in Tech - Bloom Creative Founder Nomatited
We’re so pleased to announce that our Director Courtney Farrow has been shortlisted for Young Person in Tech at this year’s Hull and Humber Tech Awards.
It’s fantastic to be invited back to the annual event (previously known as HEY Digital Awards), especially after being finalists for Best Digital Startup in 2018.
Sponsored by Wykeland, the Young Person in Tech category recognises individuals under the age of thirty who have made an impact on the digital landscape in Hull.
“Making the shortlist is a real honour! I’m not exactly your typical, or traditional tech person, so it’s great to be welcomed with open arms into the community,” Courtney says.
“It’s brilliant to see some of Bloom’s clients and friends shortlisted for other categories, including Cloud Design Box Ltd, Bombyx PLM, APD Communications and Sauce.”
The Awards coincide with the inaugural Tech Expo Humber, which stretches across the first two days of October.
“We’ll be at the event on behalf of a couple of our clients, documenting the day on social media,” Courtney continues.
“Personally, I can’t wait for Lucy Blackley’s talk on a Woman’s API Between Style and Substance. Starting out in the fashion industry, Lucy is going to be revealing her thoughts and feelings on her transition into tech.”
The celebration takes place on Wednesday 2 October in the Fruit Market, very close to where we’re based at C4DI. With street food, live entertainment and drinks on offer, it sounds like it’s going to be a blast.
