Bloom Creative is a Living Wage Employer

At Bloom Creative, people are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that we are officially a Living Wage Employer!

Becoming a Living Wage Employer reflects our commitment to fair pay practices. We ensure that all directly employed staff and third-party subcontractors receive at least the real Living Wage, not just the government minimum wage.

What is the Real Living Wage and why does it matter?

The Real Living Wage movement ensures workers receive pay that reflects real living costs, such as rent, bills, and food.

According to the Living Wage Foundation, over 4.8 million jobs in the UK still pay less than the Living Wage, leaving many struggling to make ends meet.

By becoming a Living Wage Employer, Bloom is looking after our team and contributing to a fairer economy. We’re proud to join over 12,000 UK businesses committed to paying their staff a wage they can live on, not just survive on.

Courtney Farrow, Director of Bloom Creative explains:

“Going through the accreditation process with the Living Wage Foundation was truly eye-opening. From the very beginning in 2019, we've been committed to paying our collaborators well above the London Living Wage and this recognition reaffirms that Bloom is on the right path. We're proud to uphold fair pay and continue fostering a supportive creative community.”

What it means to Bloom Creative to be a Living Wage Employer

Being a Living Wage Employer is about leading purposefully and showing that ethical choices are essential for sustainable success.

Fair pay builds stronger teams and creates an environment where creativity thrives. This decision is part of a larger vision that sees businesses as a force for good, capable of driving positive change in the world. By supporting our creatives today, we are reinforcing a positive change in the norm for the creative industries, hopefully influencing the standards and expectations of new generations of creatives to come.

And, we’re not stopping there, our vision for the future of Bloom includes:

  • Becoming a Living Hours Employer - Providing security of hours alongside a real Living Wage

  • Becoming a B Corp - Meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
