Bloom Creative Director shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year 2019

We’re absolutely thrilled to reveal that Bloom Creative Director Courtney Farrow has been shortlisted for the 2019 Hull and East Yorkshire People in Business Awards.

Last week, Courtney was announced as a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the Year category, which recognises individuals that have started their own business, demonstrating a fearless entrepreneurial spirit that has led them and their business to success.

On Friday 12 July, the inaugural #HEYPIBA ceremony takes place, aiming to highlight and reward businesses and their employees.

“I’m honoured and shocked to be shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year. Just saying those words feels really weird,” Courtney enthuses.

“The past three years have been tough, but it’s incredible to be invited to events like this that celebrate the hard work and determination of individuals in the city.”

We’re also super proud of our friends, Claire Clark, Director of Development at Sauce, and Matt Riley, Founder of Studio Six Architecture, who are also both up for awards.

“Narrowing down the shortlist was a difficult task, but we believe that we’ve chosen the best of the best that have the potential to be worthy award winners,” Jo Flemming, Founder of HEYPIBA explains.

The awards evening is set to be a brilliant night, hosted at the new Doubletree by Hilton. Lee McQueen, 2008 Apprentice winner serves as compare for the evening, while keynote speakers Rob and Paul Forkan tell their inspirational story of overcoming adversity after being left orphaned by the 2004 tsunami.

“Supporting talent in the workplace is essential, and the Hull and East Yorkshire People in Business Awards give both individuals and businesses as a whole the chance to gain recognition for their hard work.”
