Stuck for social media and digital content ideas this November?
We’ve got you covered.
You may think it’s a bit too early to mention the “C” word, but Christmas is just around the corner and a crucial time for small businesses.
If you’re a one-man-band, planning ahead is even more important this time of year because your hours are spread thinly across running a business, spending time with family, buying presents, Christmas parties (and the hangovers), plus hanging up the tinsel and trimmings.
Whether you’re B2C biz trying to make sure you’re on the top of everyone’s wish list, or a B2B organisation looking ahead for 2020, preparation is key.
Not just for content, but for everything.
We love our Google Calendar and use it to plan every part of our life – everything from social media to socialising (read: chilling on our sofa binging RuPaul’s Drag Race).
A clear plan of action can help you prioritise, understand how much time you have and schedule social media posts ahead of time.
December is a time of festive cheer and certainly a time for fun on social media.
Take a look at what some other companies have done in previous years and get inspired to put your own twist on it – we’re thinking Elf on a Shelf, a digital Advent Calendar, or even your businesses’ version of “the twelve days of Christmas”.
Last year, we spent a day or two in November running around one of our client’s building with a couple of elves taking photos of them wearing VR headsets, operating a 3D printer and even driving a Tesla.
Planning content is all well and good, but actually creating it can take a huge amount of time, effort and resources. If you’ve not begun already, start creating your content and getting everything lined up and ready for 1 December.
Create graphics in Canva, organise a festive photoshoot, order in any props and decorations you may need. You can never be too prepared!
